Let Us Introduce Ourselves
 |
We are Bob and Josie Fletcher of
Pelham, NH. We became Ward Log Home dealers/builders in 1968 after buying our first home
from Ward. Even though we are no longer building the homes, we are still involved in the
entire process. |

Our current home is featured to the right. This is
the fifth Ward Log Home that we have built for ourselves. In
1989, we were awarded the Design for Living Award, from Log Home
Living magazine, for our home. Our other homes were built from
stock Ward designs. For this one, we decided to build something
a bit different. The home is built on land we purchased almost
45 years ago. It is located on the side of a hill, the six-sided
wing provides us with a beautiful, panoramic, view which
includes the Boston skyline. |

Josie first
found the hexagonal-shaped design in a conventional home plans magazine. Staff from Ward's
headquarters worked with us to conceive a plan divided between a main floor and a full
walk-out basement.
Inside the
hexagonal portion of the main level, an elaborate system of timber trusses eliminates the
need for partition walls. A centrally located fieldstone fireplace and chimney act as an
axis between the living, dining and kitchen areas, creating a circular traffic flow
between busy living space. A master suite with two walk-in closets and bath, bedroom, full
bath and an office occupy the rectangular extension of the main level. The ground level
consists of a hobby area, family room and utility room. |

As always, our home is also our model. We would love to give you a tour. |
